Swim in a waterfall and tour the former Royal lands above Waipio Valley, the Valley of the Kings, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Three to three and 1/2 hour tours twice daily seven days a week. For those more timid, we have a buggy driven by the tour guide that travels along with the ATVs. Fun, knowledgeable 'local kine' guides talk-story at each stop and point out all sorts of interesting things about the Valley, the mountain, the culture, history, geology, flora, fauna and if you don't want all that, you don't have to listen! RideTheRim is a new tour on Hawaii Island, operating now for nearly four years. We can take up to 14 folks on ATVs (sometimes more) and 4 folks on the buggy. The owner (EL) immediately saw the opportunity to share with tourists some of the oldest areas of Hawaii- Waipio Bay where the battle took place to unite all of the islands and Waipio Valley, the Valley of the Kings where every king of Hawaii was either born, spirited away to be raised, raised, lived, vacationed, died or is buried there. Pretty heady stuff about the beginnings of a civilization, huh? Several of our guides are taro farmers in the Valley and discuss the modern valley to our guests also. Great FUN, great scenery.
