Ultimate Los Angeles Area Flight-seeing Tour

Explore the City of Angels by Zeppelin! Before Eureka, the last time a Zeppelin came to L.A. was in 1929. And, while the Goodyear Blimp is a fond and familiar sight above the stadium and skyline, this is the only way you can guarantee yourself or your loved ones, a magical airship flight.

Two hour excursions will travel North and then turn East over the vast Los Angeles Basin taking in Downtown Los Angeles. The Dodger Stadium and Equestrian Center are two of the leisure milestones on your route which will also cover all the major studios - Disney, Dreamworks, NBC, Paramount, Sony, Universal and Warner Brothers. Gazing down on these backlots can be a surreal experience! The Hollywood Bowl and Hollywood Sign remind you to look out for Grauman's Chinese Theater and the Walk of Fame before you spot Museum Row and the La Brea Tar Pits. The beautiful landscapes of Beverly Hills, Century City and Bel Air provide many intriguing sights, as does the UCLA campus! On this all encompassing trip, we will also request permission to cross over midfield at Los Angeles International Airport, one of the busiest in the world. Your trip concludes with the East side of Palos Verdes, the San Pedro and finally back to Long Beach. Make sure you have plenty of memory cards for your camera!

Airship Ventures brought a Zeppelin NT airship to California for daily sight seeing flights, advertising operations, corporate and event occasions and scientific missions. We started operations from Moffett Field, North Oakland, Monterey and Long Beach airports in November 2008.

“Eureka” means “I’ve found it” and from the reactions of our guests, that would seem to be the sentiment that captures the unique experience of flying on the Zeppelin “Eureka”. Others have described it as a ‘personal cloud’ or ‘knowing what birds feel like’.

For some, its much quieter than they were expecting, a smoother ride, more comfortable. For everyone, it’s over far too quickly!

Cruising at around 1300 feet, you are high enough to be non intrusive, but low enough to see amazing details. Your speed is around 35mph, which is a stately and serene speed to view the world at. Take off and landing are very rapid and you are only in your seat for the minute or so it takes us to reach cruising altitude.

Surrounded by huge windows, two of which open, and with the comforts of leather seating and an onboard restroom, this is a real skybox!
