All Melting Pot Food Tours feature generous food tastings from a diverse array of cuisines ranging from Japanese to Brazilian to Nepalese to French to Mexican. The routes also allow opportunity to discover unique shops along the way like a tea emporium with an unrivaled selection of over 300 different types of specialty teas, a soap kitchen where all natural soaps are made onsite from a host of ingredients commonly used in cooking, and little known haunts frequented by celebrities.

Lisa & Diane Scalia, sisters and co-founders of Melting Pot Food Tours, are Los Angeles area natives and life-long residents. Together, they have created a variety of offerings which reflect their passion for all things related to food and the culinary arts.

Lisa, a caterer, private tour guide, and resident expert on Los Angeles' diverse neighborhoods and communities, is sure she was born to lead culinary tours having always had an insatiable interest in food and travel and a great curiosity for what lurks around every corner.

Diane does a variety of things under the umbrella of a professional chef and writer with a cookbook to her credit, and has led food tours in places as far away as Montreal. She has also wrapped clever food twists around US and international sports on her radio talk show program, SportsBites.
