About the seller:
Blue Rock Station is a sustainable living homestead that centers around Ohio's first Earthship, a comfortable home built out of tires, cans, bottles, strawbales and other re-used materials. Folks from around the world attend workshops on a variety of topics including natural building, solar cooking, natural gardening, wild foods, and more. Basic housing is available in the Firefly or Mayapple, tiny straw bale screened rooms in the forest. There is a solar shower made from 500 plastic milk jugs, a dry compost privy, and a plastic bottle greenhouse. Visitors can design their own workshops, take a walk with the llamas, or enjoy high tea - Blue Rock Station style. Reservations are required.More activities by this seller:

Detailed description:
Sleeping in the forest at Blue Rock Station, surrounded by the soft sounds of nature, is an experience we have pretty much kept for ourselves - until now.
BRS is offering an exclusive weekend. You can stay in the Firefly tiny strawbale in the woods, The Happy Nest (twin bed), or camp in a tent
Whether you are seriously considering building an Earthship or straw bale home and want to spend a long, leisurely weekend discussing real world concerns or you simply want to retreat back to a more simple and peaceful way of life for the weekend - you will find it all at BRS.
Upon arrival, you’ll settle in with a proper cup of tea and a little tour of the farm and meet all the critters.*
Your options for accommodations are the Firefly tiny strawbale (double & twin bed), primitive camping on the hill or in the woods (our tent our yours), or staying off site at a nearby location (ask us about recommendations). There is a solar shower, and the straw bale privy that will provide all of the comforts of home, plus a million dollar view.
Your meals will be locally grown and produced food, and eaten family-style with Annie and Jay, and any other guests that might be visiting for the day. No liquor is served, but there are healthy drinks and snacks in between meals.
During this weekend, our time is yours. You can spend time working with Annie and Jay on a pre-determined project, or create a green living plan for your future. Or if you would rather, you can help milk the goats, do a bit of gardening, or just sit and read. It’s your time to use…two days of thinking about the future, or resting your brain…it’s your call.
You will feel changed by this experience. It is our hope that you will go home feeling rested and yet energized by your time at Blue Rock Station.
