Here at the O'Neill Surf Academy we offer a huge variety of surf lessons - everything from Kids Only Surf lessons through to Longboard and Shortboard Coaching weekends...so whatever you're looking for you'll find it here. We are open from March - December and offer lessons 7 days a week.Prices start at just £15p.p

FULL DAY SURF LESSONS:

Gain an insight into the principles and techniques of the sport of surfing with the O'Neill Instructors.

A complete & comprehensive day of surf coaching with the O'Neill Coaches. This lesson lasts from 09.30 - 16.30. The day is broken down into 2 sessions with a short break for lunch. It's a great way to fine tune your skills under the guidance of your instructors throughout, giving you plenty to take away and practice!

(Includes FREE use of board & wetsuit for the duration of the course.)

FURTHER INFORMATION:

Lessons are approximately 3 hours long, and conducted in small groups to ensure you get the most out of your session. Typically we teach on a ratio of 6 students - 1 instructor and our maximum ratios are 1 instructor - 10 students, occasionally for our longer courses. Our coaching is done both on the beach and in the water. We have a great relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere at our school, and you'll know you'll be in safe hands with our highly qualified and experienced team!

SURF COURSES WE OFFER:

At a glance we offer something for everyone - regardless of your age or ability. We have a Kids Only Surf School which runs over the summer months and tuition is offer for kids age 6 - 12. We offer a huge variety of group lessons from half a day to a full week or more, and even specialised Private and Small Group Coaching for that personal touch or special occasion. We even offer birthday parties and corporate events. And if you can't find what you're looking for....no problem.....we'll design you a course for whatever your needs!

OUR INSTRUCTORS:

Here at the O'Neill Surf Academy, we employ only the best instructors in the business. All our staff are local surfers with local knowledge to give you all the inside information you need. Unlike many schools, we have both male and female coaches. All our coaches are level 2 BSA certified and above. All our coaches are CRB checked to safely work with children and hold NARS Lifeguard qualifications.

WHERE WE SURF:

We are based at the beautiful Watergate Bay ( just 5 minutes north of Newquay and 15 minutes south of Padstow) It's a beautiful beach thats nearly 3 miles long at low tide. The vast expanse of sand means that even on the busiest summer day you'll get perfect, uncrowded waves all to yourself. We are fortunate enough to have a mobile school, so if conditions are unfavorable for your ability we are able to pop off round the corner and find somewhere much better. For this reason it is also very rare that we have to cancel any of our lessons, and we can ensure that you get the best waves on the coast!

The O'Neill Surf Academy is operated by West Coast Surfari. As one of the longest running surf schools in the UK we offer a large variety of surfing courses whatever you age or ability level. We are an accredited surf school with an extremely professional and experienced team of coaches. All our staff are fully trained and great surfers themselves, helping us to help you enjoy the surf experience of a lifetime.
