Magpie Dance, Youth Group, Wednesday Sessions, Bromley, Kent
Magpie's Youth Group dance sessions are for learning disabled young people aged between 14 – 25 yr olds and run on Wednesdays. Currently, Magpie holds regular weekly sessions, in term-time, and welcomes everybody (regardless of dance experience) to their sessions.
The sessions, which are free, take place in Bromley are facilitated by David Nurse, Youth Group Director, and Natasha Mansfield-Osborne, Assistant Youth Group Director and are accompanied by a professional musician and live music (drums or keyboard).
Please note that the classes are often full, so advance booking is essential - they allocate places on a first-come, first- served basis every term. Please contact Laura or Kathie in the Magpie office for details of how to book. If you're too late to get a place, they are happy to keep your name on our waiting list in case there's a vacancy later.

Venue: United Reformed Church, 20 Widmore Road, Bromley, BR1 1RY
Session times: Wednesdays 4.30 - 6.30pm during term time.

Founded in 1986 by Artistic Director Avril Hitman, Magpie continues to grow and is at the forefront of dance for people with learning disabilities. Their ethos is informed by an emphasis on ability rather than disability.

Performances have taken place far and wide, from Sadler’s Wells and Laban to local churches, the streets of Brighton to Trafalgar Square, The Royal Albert Hall, Hextable Dance, and The Churchill Theatre, Bromley. They have also developed an innovative programme of community, training and education work plus a ground-breaking mentoring programme, benefiting people of all ages with learning disabilities.
