We will start at 11am at the Catholic Westminster Cathedral - a magnificent golden bolt from Byzantium. Nearby is one of the greatest icons of London - the Palace of Westminster (or Houses of Parliament). Arguably the greatest example of the Gothic Revival movement we will study its exterior, the creation of Barry and the curious Pugin. After lunch we will visit the hotch-potch Arts and Crafts church of All Saints Margaret Street by William Butterfield. Lastly Leighton House, home of the great painter and patron, Frederick Lord Leighton, who pays homage to the glories of the East.
Please note that church contributions, entrance to Leighton House and taxis are included in the overall price. Our day will finish at around 5pm.Qualifications
