About the seller:
Ben started life as a chef at 21 Queen Street in his hometown ofNewcastle before moving south to Nottingham’s Sat Bains where, under Sat’s watchful eye, he soon flourished, making sous chef in rapid time.
In 2005, the need for pastures new took Ben to Denmark where, in a whirlwind year, he would work first at Kommandanten, then Noma (Ben was the very first chef employed at the then unknown venture), and finally The Paul.
This was followed by a year in France and some hard labour at Le Grand Hôtel d’Uriage, before heading back to Denmark where Mads Refslund made him chef de partie at MR.
A year later, Noma again came calling and Ben found himself
jointly heading up the pastry section of the world’s third best restaurant.
Ben has recently spent time in New York working with David Chang at Momofuku.
Ben will be hosting dinners at The Loft from the 18th February three nights per week for four weeks.

Detailed description:
The Loft Project is an experiment in food and people, set within an intimate and beautifully considered environment in East London.
The Loft Project is the brainchild of chef Nuno Mendes. Originally set up as a temporary supper club and personal test kitchen, the Loft has now become a going concern, where guest chefs take up residency to showcase their food.
The Loft Project takes evening bookings on Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week, whilst weekdays are available for one-off events, cooking classes and private parties.
