Molly Bakes is a self taught baker and cake decorator. After being made redundant at the start of 2009, Molly used the opportunity to try something new. Taking inspiration from her own mother "the Queen of desserts" she started experimenting with recipes for cupcakes. After perfecting her skills she started making cupcakes for all her friends and as word spread Molly Bakes was inundated with orders for her fabulous cakes. Molly sells her cakes at Sunday Upmarket on Brick Lane and has a loyal army of cake lovers.Detailed description:
The next class at is at Tea Party a fabulous private hire tea room in Finchley on Thursday 11th Feb from 7.30 til 9.30pm with a Valentine’s Day theme – make your own range of cupcakes for your sweetheart or the people you love, the price is £38. This includes all materials, ingredients and decorations. You will be shown how to work with buttercream in 4 different ways; classic swirls, roses, daisies and two tone swirls. You will then have two goes at trying each technique to decorate Molly Bakes’ own already prepared vanilla cupcake sponges and take home all 8 of your creations in a box. There will be a vast array of Valentines themed decorations, glitter etc for you to use. You will also be given an easy recipe to try at home.
You also have the option of decorating 4 extra cakes during the class. If you wish to do so you will go home with 12 cakes rather than 8 for an extra charge of £5. This option must be ordered at time of booking as we will not have extra cakes during the class unless pre-ordered.
Tea Party is just off the A406 and easy to get to by tube and then bus. Refreshments will be provided. There are 12 people per class making it lots of fun.
