A full day course to learn how to make natural skincare products

Making Natural Skin Care Products:

Tip to toe beauty – all courtesy of products designed by you! Tailor-make your own chemical-free, natural skincare products to suit your specific skin type. Experiment with oils, butters, waxes, clays, seaweed, fruit extracts, essential oils, emulsifiers, preservatives, exfoliating agents and masses more ingredients to design and make your own products.

Whilst we provide you with recipes for you to follow, we will also give you the opportunity to formulate and design your own version of the products. Perfect for anyone who wants to design and use their own skincare products to those who want to create a bespoke range targetting different skin types.

During this course we will discuss different ingredients, their benefits and purpose and how they are used in skin care preparations.

The course includes making a cleanser, toner, moisturiser, face mask, serum and body gel. You will be given the opportunity to design and make your own versions of the product or follow a set of recipes. The recipes are flexible and will allow you to make a range of baby products and specialist skin care preparations including anti-ageing, eczema and acne treatments.

We set out nearly six years ago with a sense of adventure. When we look back we are very proud that our ideas have turned into reality and we truly are in the business of providing workshops and home study courses for you to make beautiful cosmetics, soaps, hair, skin and body care products

We have grown from strength to strength and moved from our kitchen at home to a large workshop and sell our products via a number of retail outlet. We have moved onwards and upwards from village fairs and craft markets and now sell our soaps via shops and salons both nationally and internationally, and at landmark occasions such as The Chelsea Flower Show! Our cosmetics business and cosmetic legislation workshops will help you to define and reach your goals too.

Each and every one of our courses and products is lovingly designed and created by us in our workshops. The secret is the superb quality of our products and courses combined with the hand-finished personalised touches we devote to everything. We get so much pleasure from mixing fragrances, colours, glitters, textures, powders, butters, botanicals and so forth that sometimes we forget that it is work – not just pleasure!

What's more, we are willing to share all this with you! Our workshops and cosmetic distance learning courses will take you through a step by step 'how to make it' process and include all sorts of vital information that comes from years of practice. By the end of our training courses you will have sucessfully designed and made beautiful cosmetics and skin care products yourself.

Our courses take place in our Hampton workshop and are designed and run by Sally Hornsey. Our courses are fun and informative and a balance between theory and practical hands-on exercise. Our class sizes are small and typically range from 1 to 6 people. This ensures that you have complete control over the products you make, from weighing and mixing the ingredients, creating blends of essential oils, tweaking the recipes and designing your own special variations. We have a huge choice of regular, exotic and unusual ingredients on hand for you to experiment with.

Your tutor will guide you and answer any questions you may have. We want you to get the most out of your workshop and keeping the class sizes small ensures that they are personal, focused and special! No experience is necessary.
