Friendly Beginners/ Intermediate Pottery Classes for 1-2 people

Shaun Hall- Essex based Potter- offers fun, friendly and informal 121- tuition at his small but well equipped studio! I can offer encouragement, supportive guidance and experience of a wide range of styles and techniques. Suitable for all levels.

Learn all about pottery making techniques- from coiling, slabbing, making textures and tiles- learn to throw your own pots on a kick wheel- how to make a drop out mould- and if you wish study the ancient art of Raku kiln firing!

All set in a friendly and informal environment. I am a PGCE qualified lecturer in Design, and have run my own Ceramics business for 10 years. I am CRB checked and have experience of a wide range of ages and all abilities - beginners, intermediates and those with more experience are very welcome. 1- 2 learners are welcome if you wish to spread the costs. Very reasonable hourly rates- 1 or 2 hour lessons- or more available upon request.

Shaun Hall has worked primarily with Raku Cearmics since 1998- whereupon he graduated from Middlesex University. He has sold his work to amongst others- Selfridges and Co. His sculptures have been exhibited widely across the UK, and recently he displayed work in Osaka, Japan and in Rueil Malmaison, Paris, France.
