Igloo building and reindeer tour in Sweden
The ultimate 5-day Arctic experience – igloo-building, reindeer tour, wooden ski trip and sauna baths in Solberget, Sweden
During the first two days of your stay you will be able to explore Solberget, situated directly on the Arctic circle, and its close surroundings with a guided tour on wooden skis. You will be in terrain without ski tracks, watching out for animals and their tracks. In the evening a special highlight awaits you: enjoy a sauna heated with wood, come out steaming and watch the spectacular night sky with its myriads of stars and the breathtaking Polar Light.
On the third day we will go on a 2-day reindeer tour into the unspoiled wilderness of Lapland. Before we take off you will get to know the reindeers and learn how to treat them. Two people will take care of your reindeers and carriage on the trip, and your backpacks will be on a wooden sled, hauled by the reindeers, so you can appreciate the magic winter scenery free and easy. Having arrived at the campsite we will begin to build our resting place for the night: completely made of snow! Equipped with absolutely cold-resistant winter sleeping bags, lying on brushwood and reindeer furs, you will spend a night you will never forget – in an igloo made all by yourself.
Back in Solberget, the hot sauna is waiting for you and the last day is at your disposal. We can arrange a trip to the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi (not included in the price) or a short reindeer excursion if requested.

Minimum requirement for this tour is 3 people.

On the first day you will get the necessary guided tour around the village.

As an authentic wilderness farm, Solberget is neither connected to public electricity nor to the mains water supply. Water comes from a spring in the woods and is delicious! Oil lamps and the natural warmth of wood burning stoves provide a soft and cosy atmosphere, even with biting frost outside. All in all, you will find an atmosphere that is unique and impressive – and hard to find anywhere else.
