Wine tasting tour in Chianti Classico, Tuscany.

On the full day wine tasting tour we visit totally 3 vineyards, at the first vineyard I will give you a cellar tour, to explain everything about wine making, Chianti Classico and IGT wines. With this background information you proceed with the wine tasting, where you will enjoy an extended selection of wines and learn to define aromas one find in it, with the help of me and my “Sniffbox”. Next stop is lunch which is held at a family runned „Osteria“ to make sure that you have a good “layer” for the wine tastings in the afternoon. The lunch consist in a rich Antipasto, a Primo or Secondo piatto of your choice, wine, water and to finish coffee. After our lunch break we go to two other vineyards for more wine tasting. Then we head back to the pick up place. During the tour you get a written booklet with information about all the things you learned.

Quality rather than quantity is my credo since I started my business back in 2000. And the fact, that clients turn back or send their friends and family, assures that my philosophy is the right one.

I have some guidelines I follow since ever: I don't do joinable groups. I take care of every single client to guarantee, that the booked tour will be in there memory and something to remember with joy. The places I take you for lunch are family runned, local dishes are cooked and it's not a problem if you are a veggie or do not eat cheese, there is always enough on the menu for each desire.

My passion is wine. I'm asked often if I'm a Sommelier and the response is: no. I'm an expert for Chianti Classico and IGT wines, I work in this field since 10 years now. While making a break from my tours, I was the store manager for a renowned vineyard in the year 2005, which gave me more inputs on wine making.

I guess I taste more wine than I drink (up and down the Italian wine list, which is amazing) and I have lots of fun, to bring this experience to my clients. I talk a lot, I love to meet people and I love to drive cars. Reason enough why my tours are fun and warm hearted. You know what: I just love my job. Basta!
