Learn to create perfectly fitting trousers

Ex London fashion and costume designer, Terrie Pooley will teach you how to use pattern blocks to cut, make and fit a pair of trousers to your own measurements. You will learn all the necessary stitching and details to finish the trousers with pockets.

This course will show you how you can achieve the perfect fitting trousers, and ensure that you can make more pairs with confidance time and time again.

The cost of 75 euros also includes a light lunch in the Parkswood dining area with views overlooking the River Suir.

Built in Cromwellian times, the original Parkswood house and its later additions are set in six acres of grounds overlooking the beautiful River Suir. Wild fuscia and a copse with ducks, herons and oyster catchers help provide a tranquil setting in which to unwind, and the weather may not be as "Irish" as you expect - palm trees flourish here thanks to a micro-climate warmed by the Gulf Stream.

Your Anglo-Irish hosts Roger and Terrie Pooley can trace their roots back to Co. Tipperary and Co. Waterford respectively - indeed, Terrie's parents still live in Waterford town. After successful careers in printing and costume design, and with their two delightful daughters having left the family home in Weybridge, England, they crossed the Irish Sea to the "Emerald Isle" in 2002 to lovingly and tastefully renovate Parkswood.
