FAQ
Here are some of the answers to questions you might have about Ooh.com:
Q. Can anyone list something to do on Ooh.com?
A. Yes, anyone is welcome to list anything to do on Ooh.com! The only real criteria for a supplier are that the event or activity must be happening at a fixed time at a fixed price – that’s what makes it possible for people to buy.
Q. Can anyone list anything to do on Ooh.com?
A. Nearly. People can list anything they like, provided they don’t violate the Terms of Use. This includes not listing things of an adult nature and not listing any activity or event for the purpose of laundering money.
Q. How do I know where the event or activity I book will be taking place?
A. All the details you need to arrive at the activity or event you’ve booked are sent to your personal email address and your Ooh.com mail account when you’ve paid, a bit like when you buy something on ebay.
Q. Is there a category for my activity or event?
A. We’ve tried to provide as many categories as possible to cover a huge range of activities. If you think one is missing, put your activity or event under ‘Other’ in the subcategory section, and email us describing the category you’d like. If we agree, we’ll create the new category, and re-file your listing accordingly.
Q. How does Ooh.com make money?
A. Ooh.com doesn’t make money at the moment – it’s free to list and it’s commission free too. We’re just trying to find the best things to do in the world, and put them on a website for others to book online. Eventually we plan to charge a fair and capped commission on sales.
A. PayPal allows any business or consumer with an email address to securely, conveniently and cost-effectively send and receive payments online. Paying by PayPal ensures that a transaction is immediate and secure. If a buyer pays by PayPal on Ooh.com there is no email administration following a booking.
