Beginners' snowkiting lesson in Toronto or Keswick (2 hours)
Master the art of flying a power kite, the perfect lesson for an aspiring snowkiter
The first step in your snowkiting adventure involves getting to grips with the kites that we use; these machines are not the same as your average kite and it is very important that you learn how to harness their power properly and safely. Through doing this beginners course you can work out whether this is the right sport for you and if you wish to invest in the equipment.
What we will cover the following in the 2 hour lesson:
• How to fly a trainer kite
• Introduction to snowkiting
• Basic safety rules, common sense and acceptable behavior
• Terminology & correct kite setup
• Understanding the "Wind Window"
• Gaining control of the kite in the wind window, general kite flying, safe launching & landing
We need approximately 10-20km/h to fly the trainer kite, the beginner’s snow kiting course is very similar to our beginner’s kiteboarding course and the two are interchangeable. Where the lesson takes place depends on the weather conditions, it will either be Toronto of Keswick – we will be in contact just before the date to confirm the location.
