We have a favourite photo darling on the Ooh desk, Alex Prager, and right now we wish we could hop on a jet plane across the pond, to catch her and her photo pals Roe Ethridge, Elad Lassry, Amanda Ross-Ho’s New Photography Exhibition at MoMa, New York.
A curious new exhibition is currently taking place in New York, and definitely one to pop in to this weekend. “Jackie Saccoccio: One to One,” at the Eleven Rivington gallery in New York, contains just a single painting. The huge canvas runs fifteen feet wall to wall and ceiling to floor…
Look, not all of us want to run marathons or get the chance to travel across the world to do good.

We really liked this listing by Monkton Wyld Court, as the beekeeping business is buzzing at the moment (sorry). The Introduction to beekeping workshop is a residential course with apiary David Wycombe and sounds fantastic. Take a look at the photos; it takes hands-on to a whole new level.

Word is out, that the US’s most trendy culinary pioneers - a razor, a shiny knife – will be hosting ‘test kitchens’ (otherwise known as cooking lessons) in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City amongst others over the next few months.

Run by a razor, a sharp knife founders, Daniel Castaño and the moustached Michael Cirino (see above), upcoming cooking and supper evenings with these renegade culiniairs will be held in July 2010 – Brooklyn, NY (Pig Roast), Chicago, and Washington DC. 6-8th August 2010 in Los Angeles, CA, 13-15th August 2010 in San Francisco, CA and in September 2010 there will be kitchen sessions in Bogota and Cartagena, in Colombia.
After a long weekend of BBQs and Pino Grigio in the UK, beer and “patat met” (fries and mayo) for Queens day in Holland, and with the Californians rolling around in burrito and tequila induced hangovers after Cinco de Mayo, it’s hard to ignore the groans coming from offices the world over.
So time to Carpe Diem – get your fingers out of the biscuit barrel and start thinking instead about a little detox and gentle heath regime to tide you over to the next long weekend of excesses.
Lets face it, who has the willpower to plan, shop, juice, and blend for themselves while distracted by things like life, ‘those jeans’ and pizza hut?
So three cheers for the clever folk who’ve packaged up the latest in fashionable detox: cleansing juices and raw foods delivered to your door – perfect for those without time for D.I.Y. juicing. > read more
