Supper clubs/Pop-up Restaurants – clandestine evenings with exceptional cuisine on a micro scale, for select invitees or those in the know. Oh, you’re not in the know? Maybe the phenomenon of Pop-up Restaurants has fallen under your radar. If so, don’t beat yourself up too much. That is after all, the idea.
But we’ve got a hot tip for you. The Loft is a project of Nuno Mendes, the ex Bacchus head chef, trained at El Bulli. It’s a supper club based at his Shoreditch training kitchen, which also happens to be his flat. Up to 16 diners sit at his table and are treated to a tasting menu like no other. I won’t eulogise too much about how wonderful the food is, you can just google it and read the gushing reviews.
We’re enormously pleased to have Nuno and The Loft listed on Ooh.com, and if you fancy 1 chef and host, and 6 hours of a huge variety of inventive dishes, champagne, cocktails, wines and company, you can go ahead and book right from the listing.
If you do book, this is one event that surely deserves some feedback, and your review appears on the listing itself!

Uber cool looking, also yummy. Great for Valentines day no?
More about supper clubs please – I want to find a reasonably priced one with interesting people.
I used to dream of dining at El Bulli, and wondered when I could afford it. When I could afford it, I wondered how long I could afford to wait for a table (just the 5 years I think). Now it is closed for two years! So, looks like it’s going to be the El Bulli trained Nuno Mendes at The Loft!
Off to Shoreditch. Thank you Ooh.
