$100 weekly competition – first winners announced

In celebration of our launch last week, Ooh.com is now selecting the best two listings uploaded to the site each week, and awarding the owners $100 each. Which means that if you upload a listing to Ooh.com, you could be in with a chance of winning!


The first two winners we’ve chosen exemplify the broad range of things you can find to do on the site.

MOLLY BAKES CUPCAKE DECORATING CLASS, NORTH LONDON:

We love this cupcake making class because Molly is a self taught baker who’s just passionate about baking! She has turned her passion into a successful business idea and is now sharing it with other people – which is just what Ooh.com is all about.

The listing itself includes all the details you need to make a booking, with dates, a payment method and a very clear description, as well as great photos showing what you’d get up to at the class. Well done to Molly, who we’ll be sending $100 (in £s, naturally!). Molly’s listing will feature on the front page of Ooh.com for the next three weeks, so she’ll get heaps of exposure for her course!

GREEN LIVING WEEKEND, BLUE ROCK STATION, OHIO:

We also love this Green Living Weekend experience in Ohio. We think that this “hands on” weekend would be a superb escape from urban or suburban life, giving people the chance to refresh their relationship with the natural world. Activities include learning to build an Earthship, staying in a strawbale hut, using a solar shower made from 500 plastic milk jugs and learning the precise art of solar cooking!

We love the listing itself because it has plenty of availability, so it’s easy to find a date you can book! We also think there are some fantastic photos and really enjoyed watching their Youtube video. We’ll be sending the guys at Blue Rock Station $100, and they too will feature on the front page for the next 3 weeks!
