30th September 2010 > Craft & Creative, Ooh.com Stuff, Sport, Travel

Today we have two very different listings in our daily edit. We could go on and on about Ooh’s diversity, but we’re letting these listings speak for themselves. From soaps to slopes…

Guest travel post: A winter day in Stockholm

21st September 2010 > Ooh.com Stuff, Travel

As people list more and more cool things to do all over the world on Ooh.com, we’re fascinated by the cities they’re happening in. So we’ve teamed up with bloggers everywhere to get inside guides to the cities they love. Today’s post is from Helena Jansson, who really makes us want to go to Stockholm on a cold winter’s day…

As the Swedish winter days are really short, you have to plan your day in advance and head out early; at 3pm it starts to get dark. If it’s snowing, it’s best to stay at home, play some Scrabble or watch a movie, but as soon as the weather is nice, warm (…) and sunny, you should definitely consider spending a day outdoors doing a typical, Swedish winter activity. It’s the best way of capturing Stockholm’s daylight.

Don’t overlook Liechtenstein

14th September 2010 > Ooh.com Stuff, Travel

Liechtenstein – an alpine country all of its own.

Our friends at Zoombu tell us why Liechtenstein is the place to put on your travel itinerary this year.

As people list more and more cool things to do all over the world on Ooh.com, we’re fascinated by the cities they’re happening in. So we’ve teamed up with bloggers everywhere to get inside guides to the cities they love. Carolina Cardoso has written the perfect itinerary to her hometown Lisbon, so if you’re lucky to go, grab on to this guide and keep strolling.

Start the day with an organic breakfast at Quinoa, Rua do Alecrim, 54 – Chiado. Use the morning to take a walk in the area of Baixa-Chiado, enjoy the old Portuguese architecture and do some shopping, there’s plenty to choose from. At Praça da Figueira take the tram nº15 to Belém. Once there, take the ferry to Porto Brandão (10min ride across the river) and have lunch at one of the typical restaurants. Eat as much fresh fish as you like or maybe try their specialty, carvoada.
