22-24 May 2010: techniques to create artistic nudes on location I :light, composition, communication of your idea & guiding your models, inside and outside locations, different light situations

The entire workshop is divided into three sections:

First the theoretical part, where we acquire working methods and techniques.

Then, in the second, you create your own images in groups of up to four with one model per group.

And the third section of the workshop, where you are thaught to select & to receive feedback & constructive criticism.

Pascal Baetens has been realising portrait, fashion, nude and travel assignments for editorial, commercial and private clients. His collection of subtle black & white nudes lead to the art books 'The fragile touch', 'Allegro sensibile' (USA-title 'The art of nude photography'), 'Heavenly Girls' (USA title 'Heavenly Beauties') and 'A Pocketful of Nudes', and the how-to book 'Nude photography, the art and the craft'.

Pascal Baetens' work has been published in numerous magazines such as Elle, Maxim, FHM and Men's Health, and exhibited throughout Europe and North America. It has featured in some of the leading books on modern photography. In 2008 Baetens received the Master Qualified European Photographer title, the highest recognition of the Federation of European Professional Photographers FEP.

Pascal Baetens has an extensive program of lectures and workshops about different aspects of people and nude photography.

He is living and working in the former Salve Mater hospital-monastery of Lovenjoel, Belgium.
