Australian Bird Watching Tours
Bird watching and other wildlife tours anywhere in Australia
Australia is a easy, friendly and safe place to travel in but it is big so you must be prepared to travel long distances.
Because Australia is so big the best time to visit varies between regions. As a general rule the best time for northern Australia is from May to October and southern areas from October to May. However, if you are chasing specific seasonal birds you might have to ignore the rules.
Gondwana Guides provides the following range of services for bird watchers and other wildlife enthusiasts visiting Australia.
Day tours from Brisbane or the Gold Coast. These tours visit a wide range of habitats from coastal mudflats and mangroves, to open forest, freshwater wetlands and rainforest. Between 100 and 120 spp of birds are usually seen depending on the time of the year. They are designed to meet the specific requirements and special needs of the client or clients.
Extended birding or wildlife tours, custom designed for individuals or small groups, from 2 days to 2 months anywhere in Australia, New Zealand or Papua New Guinea. This includes all bookings, transport, other logistics and guiding.
